Capital Health Network, through the ACT PHN Programme, the Canberra Hospital and Calvary Public Hospital Bruce invite all GPs, Nurses and Midwives to our upcoming Maternity Servcies Day.
Session Detail
This educational session will focus on key issues relating to maternity service delivery in ACT. It aims to improve the primary health care providers' (specifically GPs) knowledge and skill in antenatal and postnatal care. It is recognised that GPs play a central role in supporting pregnant women. Ensuring GPs have the knowledge and skills to support them is essential. This event is being jointly run with the GP Liaison Unit from The Calvary Public Hospital Bruce and The Canberra Hospital who have had feedback from the health community in Canberra and GPs in particular have expressed the need for further education on maternity services.

HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is the regular use of HIV medications by HIV-negative people to prevent HIV acquisition.
This event will be an opportunity to hear the latest news of what is happening with PrEP nationally and at a local level in Canberra.
