Gambling Harm in the ACT

Gambling Harm in the ACT

Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm, 20/06/18

Event Detail:

Gambling Harm and the ACT

Preventing gambling harm starts with recognising it. Recognising it starts here.

  • What is gambling harm and how does cause harm in someone's life?
  • Who's at risk of experiencing gambling harm, and is it just the gambler?
  • What can we do if we know or suspect someone is experiencing harm from gambling?

This free one-day workshop presented by Alison Bell on 20 June aims to:

  • Highlight the impacts of gambling in Australia and, more specifically, in the ACT
  • Raise awareness of the spectrum of gambling harms to individuals, families and communities.

Ultimately, the training aims to equip people from a range of service settings to reduce the potential and actual harms of gambling among the people they support.
