Gambling Harm and the ACT
Preventing gambling harm starts with recognising it. Recognising it starts here.
- What is gambling harm and how does cause harm in someone's life?
- Who's at risk of experiencing gambling harm, and is it just the gambler?
- What can we do if we know or suspect someone is experiencing harm from gambling?
This free one-day workshop presented by Alison Bell on 20 June aims to:
- Highlight the impacts of gambling in Australia and, more specifically, in the ACT
- Raise awareness of the spectrum of gambling harms to individuals, families and communities.
Ultimately, the training aims to equip people from a range of service settings to reduce the potential and actual harms of gambling among the people they support.
