Capital Health Network, through the ACT PHN Programme, invites all health professionals to attend our Cultural Awareness Training.
This education session focuses on cultural awareness and identification of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It aims to improve primary health care providers understanding of how a person’s culture may inform their understanding of disease and their interactions with the health care system. It is recognised that high quality primary health care is essential for closing the gap in health outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians and cultural awareness is a key component of quality care
This activity will be submitted to RACGP for Category 2 Activity CPD points in the QI & CPD Program for 2017 – 2019 Triennium.
