A full time or part time registered/enrolled nurse is required to join our team of 5 full time GP's & 1 part time GP. Must be available on Fridays, other hours negotiable. Duties would include but not be limited to: 

  • Child and Adult immunisations
  • Baby checks 
  • Wound care
  • Travel vaccines
  • Assisting doctors with procedures
  • Sterilisation
  • Health assessments and chronic disease management
  • Care plans
  • Spirometry

Skills and experience:

  • Ability to multi task, good time managements is essential

  • Computer literate  - Best Practice software, training will be provided

Your role will be varied. You will assist with minor surgical procedures, advise on wound management, remove sutures, assist and support patients undertaking Biologic therapies, photodynamic therapy and advise patients through the acne clinic.  We are based in Woden and are offering an excellent remuneration package.

  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Demonstrated organisation skills, time management skills and self motivation.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly with Medical software
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and commitment to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Interest in aesthetic nursing.
  • Experience as a laser therapist.

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration. The position requires extensive experience in a General Practice setting and experience in afterhours service provision.

 

The position is an administrative position and requires no direct patient contact. Duties include but are not limited to rostering of staff and locums, liaising with General Practices throughout the ACT, coordinating educational activities for clinical staff and working with the General Manager and Board to promote the activities of CALMS in the community.

The position is part time 0.35 FTE (full time equivalency).  Indicative average workload of 14 hours per week. The hours are flexible however there is a significant afterhours component.
