Partnering for better health

Our role is to advance the way health care is delivered in Canberra.  We address community needs by collaborating with consumers, GPs, clinicians and sector stakeholders to improve health outcomes.  We are unique in our ability to support general practice and design services that fill gaps and deliver lasting improvements.

Capital Health Network works to ensure Canberrans receive the right health care in the right place at the right time. We have listened to the health needs of Canberrans and are facilitating services to address gaps in health delivery for our community.

Better Health

Better Health for Canberrans is a priority for Capital Health Network.  We are updating our comprehensive evidence-based Needs Assessments to monitor the health and wellbeing needs of Canberrans.  This informs the planning and design of our programs and partnerships.

Better Care

Capital Health Network supports better consumer experiences of their health care, ensuring the system is responding to the social determinants of health and facilitating access for vulnerable populations.

Better Supported Workforce

Capital Health Network is working towards a Better Supported Workforce by delivering training and Educational Events for primary care clinicians, providing Clinical Resources and more.  Visit our Health Professionals section for more information.

Better Value

Capital Health Network is working towards Better Value of Canberra’s health system.  In designing and funding better health care solutions, we ensure they add value by improving patient experience and outcomes, while being financially sustainable for the community.
