HealthDirect Video Call is a comprehensive, secure and reliable video consulting service for healthcare in Australia, managed by Healthdirect Australia. The Video Call tool assists in providing care to clients in their homes where they have an existing relationship with a healthcare provider.

CHN has provided initial configuration, information and support to healthcare providers in the ACT to access this technology. This support has included ensuring providers have access to the Australian Digital Health Agency eLearning webpages and to the RACGP information packages. CHN has set up Video Call “Waiting Areas” for use by the healthcare providers and clients, and created client leaflets for healthcare providers to distribute to their clients on how to use Video Call. The current status of users is 26 Waiting Areas and 125 users added.

The Digital Health Team continue to support existing healthcare providers using the system and providing information to others who may be interested in using it in the future.
