Stacy Leavens has been announced as the new CEO of Capital Health Network (CHN), ACT’s Primary Health Network.

CHN Chair Julie Blackburn said that Ms Leavens has extensive experience working in community health and the health NGO sector in both the US and Australia.

“Following an extensive recruitment process, the CHN Board is delighted to appoint Stacy to lead Capital Health Network. Stacy has been with CHN since 2018 overseeing CHN’s key program areas including planning, commissioning and primary care engagement,” said Ms Blackburn.

Ms Blackburn said it’s advantageous for the organisation to retain Stacy to continue to leverage her sector and corporate knowledge.

“As the current General Manager of Policy and Planning, Stacy has successfully led a team of specialists, working on needs assessment, workforce planning, data analysis, policy and project management across CHN. Moving into the CEO role through an internal promotion will provide much stability for the organisation and our key stakeholders,” said Ms Blackburn.

Ms Leavens is thrilled to step into the CEO role as CHN moves into this next phase.

“We’ve got an excellent team here at CHN, great partners, and an incredible primary care sector in the ACT, so I look forward to continuing to work collaboratively and leading our work to improve the health and wellbeing of the Canberra community,” said Ms Leavens.

Stacy Leavens will commence as CHN CEO on 3 July 2023.
