Statement of Concern – Proposed New ACT WICs

Last week’s announcement that a re elected ACT Labor Government would establish a further 5 Walk-in Centres (WIC) and that the first of those would be co-located with the existing National Health Co-operative in Coombs has caused our organisations considerable concern, due to the lack of an open, public and competitive tender process to determine the location.

The ACT Government and Capital Health Network will today launch the region’s five-year Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan which aims to improve the integration of services and promote collaboration on service planning across the region.

New free program to help children recover from trauma

Three additional locations offering Canberrans COVID-19 assessment and testing are opening across the ACT. General practices located on the northside and southside of Canberra, along with Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service in the inner south, are opening GP led Respiratory Clinics.
