About the role

Family First General Practice is seeking a motivated and experienced general practice nurse to join our team in Canberra, ACT. As a casual or on contact PT/FT general practice nurse (hours and contract negatable) you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care and supporting our doctors in delivering exceptional medical services.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting doctors with examinations, treatments , GP management plans, iron infusion and minor procedures
• Performing routine nursing duties such as vaccinations, wound care, and health screenings
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensuring the clinic is well stocked with necessary medical supplies
• Providing compassionate and professional care to our diverse patient base
• Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to coordinate patient care

What we’re looking for

• Registered nurse with a current AHPRA registration
• Minimum 1 year experience working in a general practice or similar healthcare setting
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of primary care nursing practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with patients and the healthcare team
• Proficient in using medical software and technology
• Specific proficiency in Best Practice medical software system required
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
• Australian work authorisation required
