This practice exists because the system is broken.

General practice has reached a point where many doctors are forced into an impossible situation.

Rushing people out the door, or running hours late.
Cutting conversations short, or skipping lunch and breaks.
All this while working in cold, corporate clinical spaces and being pushed by management to bill more, fit more in, and keep the numbers moving.

For many of us, that pressure didn’t just make the work harder. It made it unsustainable.

Eventually, enough was enough.

The Know You Co was created as a response to that reality. It was built by GPs who were tired of trying to practice good medicine inside systems that actively worked against it.

So we started again.

We redesigned everything from the ground up, the business model, the workflow, and the physical space, with the intention that it would feel nothing like a typical general practice.

This is a practice built around slow medicine, chronic disease management, health promotion, and engaging with complex cases properly. It is designed to give you time with patients, autonomy over your books and billing, and a working day that is actually manageable.

You see fewer patients, usually around eight to twelve a day. You are paid on the day. Take-home percentages are high. Management fees are low. You work in a calm, beautifully designed space with a strong, supportive team around you.

The belief is simple. If we take better care of doctors and make the work sustainable, better care naturally follows for patients.

About The Know You Co

Opened in November 2023, The Know You Co is an innovative general practice built around a simple idea: time + continuity + coordination = better care.

Our long-appointment structure lets us truly get to know people, their health stories and their goals. Our patient community has grown rapidly and wholeheartedly, and we now have three GPs, a brilliant admin team and a thriving waitlist.

Practice Description

The Know You Co is a small, relationship-based general practice designed to support thoughtful, sustainable medicine for both patients and GPs.

The practice was built around chronic disease management, complex care and health promotion, work that requires time, continuity and deep understanding of the individual. Rather than trying to squeeze this care into a high-volume system, the entire model was designed to support it properly.

Nothing about the practice feels like a typical general practice. The space is calm, warm and intentionally designed, more like a welcoming studio than a clinical factory. Patients notice it immediately, and so do doctors. The environment lowers stress, supports focus and allows meaningful conversations to happen without constant interruption or pressure.

The team is small, close-knit and genuinely supportive. GPs work alongside experienced admin staff and collaborate with allied health and specialist providers as needed, with a strong emphasis on coordinated, joined-up care. Relationships matter here, with patients, with colleagues, and across the broader care team.

At its core, The Know You Co is built on the belief that when doctors are given time, autonomy and support, they are able to do their best work. Taking care of GPs is not separate from taking care of patients, it is what makes good care possible.
