What you’ll do
- Deliver high-quality primary care to Defence members
- Occupational Medicine environment, conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care, in addition to injury management, chronic disease management and preventative health
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount
What you bring
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner
- FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration
- Minimum two years’ GP experience in the last five years in a GP Setting (GPT counts)
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
- Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
- Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care

Through our partnership with Bupa, we provide integrated on-base healthcare to Australian Defence Force personnel across 45+ locations.
About ACT Health Centre
Home to the Department of Defence Headquarters, Airforce Headquarters and Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) which is a tri-service military academy. The Health Centre opened mid-2022 and is a large facility. It services approximately 7000 military personnel, including trainee officers from both ADFA and Royal Military College. There is a 24-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Defence Force Recruitment for medical officers is in addition to health centre roles. Standard hours of operation are generally 0800-1600 Monday to Friday (After-hours, weekend and on-call shifts may be required).
