Capital Health Network (CHN), ACT’s Primary Health Network (PHN), through funding from the Targeted Regional Initiatives for Suicide Prevention (TRISP) program, is seeking grant applications from organisations to undertake community-led suicide prevention initiatives. These initiatives will build capacity and capability within the ACT community to recognise and respond to people who are at risk of or currently experiencing suicidal distress.
CHN is particularly seeking initiatives targeted towards communities who have been identified to be at greater risk of suicide or suicidality, including (but not limited to):
- Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people;
- LGBTIQA+ people;
- Children, young people, or families;
- Older Canberrans (over 65, or over 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples);
- Australian Defence Force Veterans;
- Men; and/or
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities and refugees.
