About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data and Reporting Manager to lead a dynamic team of data professionals to support Capital Health Network’s (CHN) reporting processes and requirements. The role works collaboratively with CHN business units and external stakeholders to deliver high quality reporting and analytics, transforming raw data into strategic business insights. This role calls for a strong grasp of data analysis principles, particularly with large and complex datasets.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in continuously optimising and refining our reporting processes and infrastructure, whilst nurturing the leadership required to guide the way in advancing our data capabilities and supporting ongoing growth.


About the team

Reporting to Senior Manager Projects and Planning, the Data and Reporting Manager operates within the Policy and Planning business unit which provides key advice to inform the organisation’s reporting, planning and evaluation processes. This advice is used to support ACT service planning and commissioning processes, as well as program evaluation to integrate health care, improve health equity and achieve better health outcomes for Canberrans. The Policy and Planning Team collaborates closely with our internal Heath System Integration, Primary Care Integration and Commissioned Services teams to enhance data processes that support continuous quality improvement and operational efficiency.

You are a skilled leader with experience in managing technical experts, guiding and mentoring staff to foster a high performing team. You will have a strong background in data governance, reporting and analytics, with the ability to balance your technical skills with leadership and people management skills to build capacity within the team. You’ll spend time working collaboratively with like-minded data analysts and various business units within CHN to facilitate ongoing data analysis and improve our reporting processes. You will be responsible for leading complex reporting tasks, providing training and supervising data projects.

Your impact in harnessing the full potential of our data team will be instrumental in facilitating cross-team collaboration that enhances CHN data capabilities, ensuring that our data processes align with business needs and strategic priorities. Your expertise in health care analytics, coupled with experience in secure data sharing practices, will see you contribute to the success of CHN’s primary health programs, ultimately driving positive health outcomes in the ACT community.


Work location

This position is based in our newly renovated and modern office, located in the heart of the Belconnen town centre. We support flexibility and a hybrid work model at CHN and are happy to work with the successful candidate to ensure balance between work and life.
