Capital Health Network

Capital Health Network (CHN), the ACT’s PHN is seeking to commission psychosocial support services from community support organisations and other health care providers within the ACT.

Funding Available

The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing will support CHN to commission non-clinical, person-centred, recovery-focused psychosocial support services over the relevant period. Approximately $1,434,274.21 (GST exclusive) will be allocated to the successful applicants, who will be contracted to provide psychosocial support services via this procurement (RFP) process, for the period 1 October 2025 – 30 June 2027.

Target Persons

The Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) Program supports adults with severe mental health illness and associated psychosocial functional impairment, who are not accessing similar supports through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or state and territory-based programs.

Services provided under the CPS Program should be complementary to those available within the region through other government funded psychosocial initiatives and mental health programs, with a recovery and person-centred focus. These services should aim to:

  • increase functional capacity to live independently in the community
  • reduce the need for acute mental health services
  • increase connection and reduce isolation
  • increase knowledge and skills
  • increase engagement in daily activities, relationships and the community
  • improve or stabilise mental health and wellbeing

  • move towards personal recovery goals, and
  • support access to appropriate supports, including the NDIS where appropriate.
