Position Description
The role:
We are seeking sessional clinicians to provide surgical and/or non-surgical sexual and reproductive healthcare services – including surgical abortion, medical abortion and contraceptive services, at our Canberra clinic. Training and ongoing support provided to successful applicants.
Current availability is Monday (non-surgical), Wednesday and Thursday (surgical) but possibility of some flexibility.
Your purpose:
Deliver high quality, safe and empathetic care in line with best practice and internal policies and procedures
What we need:
- A pro-choice, patient-centred care advocate
- Current AHPRA registration
- Unrestricted access to MBS
- Previous experience in sexual & reproductive health
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in achieving high clinical standards
- Willingness to learn with a non-judgmental attitude
What we’d like to see (but not essential):
- FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive & Sexual Health
- Current MTOP prescriber (MS-2 Step training available online)
- Early pregnancy ultrasound skills (we can arrange training!)
- DRANZCOG (preferred for surgical abortion providers, but not essential)
