Capital Health Network, ACT’s Primary Health Network invites Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF) in the ACT to apply for funding to improve their telehealth infrastructure. This funding is intended to assist RACFs to purchase equipment to improve telehealth capacity within the facility and enable quality virtual care.

The objective of this funding is to:

  1. improve access to GPs and other health care professionals for better management of chronic conditions, general wellbeing and other preventative purposes.
  2. access the right care at the right time.
  3. reduce potentially preventable ED presentations and/or hospital admissions.

There is a capped amount that applies according to the size of the facility. Please see details as follows:

  • Facilities <49 beds: $5,000
  • Facilities 40-109 beds: $10,000
  • Facilities 110 -159: $15,000
  • Facilities 160+: $20,000

To apply, RACFs will need to:

A list of software vendors will be directly emailed to RACFs to assist them in purchasing the telehealth equipment, but they have no obligation to purchase only from these vendors. They can purchase the equipment from their preferred vendor.
