Capital Health Network

Supporting the primary care workforce is one of the nine key priority areas for CHN. CHN provided education, information, resources and networking opportunities to primary health care professionals to support them to deliver safe, high quality and effective health care. We also continued to fund the successful Pharmacists in General Practice Program in eight general practices. Additionally, we partnered with the University of Canberra to develop a platform to engage early-career allied health graduates to increase their preparedness for delivering services in a primary health care setting.

Delivering education to primary health care

Over the last year, CHN hosted 45 events for primary care.  Over 1,700 primary health care professionals attended which is an increase of over 25% from the previous year.
